Zing Flowers Christmas Tips 🎄

The countdown to Christmas has officially started! 🎅🏻

Throughout December we’ve been posting our Christmas Top Tips on Instagram and Facebook. Here's the round up in case you have missed it...

Preparation is key to a smooth Christmas because it prevents last minute gift stress, Christmas day stress and wasting money. One of the best ways to make sure you're prepared is to make a list and stick to it! Some things to think about to kick off your prep can include deciding who's hosting, making sure all presents have been purchased and wrapped and finally, work out which foods can be prepared before Christmas Day.

Lists, lists, lists! They are such a helpful tool during this busy time of year. They prevent you from forgetting a gift or recipient, ingredient and decorations. Shopping list will also prevent you from overdoing the food on Christmas Day! You don't have to do anything too fancy, pen and paper will do. However if you want to share your list with other family or friends, you can use a notes app or website on any mobile device.

As we all know, this Christmas is going to be a little different so why not embrace the change? Make it a Christmas to remember and create new family traditions. Some examples could include family walks or video calls with family or friends who don't live near. Alternatively, you can adapt existing traditions such as making family board games online or watching a movie together on a group stream such as Netflix Party.

Struggling to find a gift for someone who’s hard to buy for? You just can’t beat a beautiful bouquet of flowers delivered right to their doorstep! Here at Zing Flowers, we believe that little moments matter and the smallest gesture can make the biggest difference to someone’s Christmas. Why not treat a loved one to our 3 month flower subscription, maybe our brand new Spritz Bouquet complete with a mini bottle of Adnams Prosecco. Maybe you just want to send a little joy through their letterbox with our stunning range of letterbox flowers?

    👩‍🎨 GET CRAFTY

Homemade gifts and decorations can brighten up anyone's home. Why not try re-using and recycling wrapping paper, tinsel, and old Christmas decorations. It’s a great way to save a little money, make your home look festive and reduce your carbon footprint. You can also get crafty and make your own Christmas presents, it's a great activity to keep the little ones busy! Additionally, you can also buy preloved items for gifts. Second-hand marketplaces such as Depop, Gumtree and eBay can be great for finding more budget friendly gifts.

Baking is a great form of Christmas entertainment and the yummy creations you make will always be a win for all the family! Make it a challenge and keep your kids or friends entertained with some competitive Christmas baking - who can make the prettiest ginger bread house or who can make the yummiest mince pies?! You can even carry this activity on after Christmas day and start preparing next years Christmas pudding!

      💌 GIVE BACK

Haven’t used it since last Christmas? Why not spread the Christmas spirit by donating old or unused gifts to local toy drives and charities. You can also donate any unopened food to local shelters and food banks this Christmas (always check the organisations guidelines). Christmas is a time for giving and sharing with our loved ones. However, we can also make an effort to share beyond those around us and make sure that those less fortunate are still able to have a festive time!

Here at Zing Flowers, we are working hard to ensure you can stay connected with your loved ones over the festive period. Shop our Christmas Collection here.
